Your audience is everyone who follows you. Your buyer is the small slice who will actually pay.
These are different people with different needs. And when you write for "the audience," you often miss the buyer entirely.
This is The Wallet Filter.
Before you post, ask: "Would the person who pays me find this valuable?"
Think about it this way:
→ Audience content entertains broadly. Buyer content solves specifically.
→ Audience content gets likes. Buyer content gets DMs asking how to work together.
→ Audience content builds followers. Buyer content builds pipeline.
You can do both. But know which one you're making.
A post that goes viral with the wrong people is a distraction. A post that resonates with 50 ideal buyers is a business asset.
Followers feel good. Customers pay bills.
Write for the wallet.
P.S. Reply with a recent post and I'll tell you if it's audience content or buyer content (and how to adjust if needed).
